BPCL plans to venture into gas business

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited plans to venture into the gas business and diversify the sourcing of fuels as a part of its five-year plan to expand its value chain. The company is targeting a spend of Rs 1 trillion towards its expansion activities in marketing, refining, etc. In line with this, the company has imported crude oil from the US under its diversification exercise. So far, the company has imported two cargoes of crude (one with high sulphur and the other with low sulphur).
