Telangana government launches Hyderabad City Wi-Fi Project

The Telangana government has launched the Hyderabad City Wi-Fi Project, also known as the Hy-Fi project. Under the project, the government has installed over 1,000 Wi-Fi hotspots across the city which will provide an assured bandwidth of 5-10 Mbps and offer 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi services at public locations in Hyderabad. Further, the government aims to cover around 3,000 hotspot locations in the city. The Cellular Operators Association of India is the technical adviser to the government for the Hy-Fi project.
