The MoR has launched various railway services in Assam and Odisha including a 12 km new line between Bolagarh Road and Nayagarh town; a 289 km new line between Khurda Road and Bolangir, costing Rs 8.01 billion; the extension of passenger trains between Khurda Road and Bolagarh up to Nayagarh; a daily train service between Nayagarh town and Puri; a new Nayagarh railway station building; passenger halt at Bolagarh; and passenger reservation system at the Kamakhya Temple. The MoR has also sanctioned a new 38 km broad gauge line between Jeypore and Navarangpur in Odisha at an estimated cost of Rs 7.47 billion. The project will be implemented on a cost sharing basis between the MoR and the Odisha government (50 per cent each). The line will pass through Koraput, Jeypore, Jagdalpur and Dantewada, and will take three years for completion.
