AAI submits DPR for new terminals under Chennai airport Phase II expansion

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has submitted a detailed project report (DPR) for building new terminals as a part of Chennai airport’s Phase II expansion. Accordingly, a tender for this is likely to be floated soon. The proposal for constructing two buildings post the demolition of the old ones and integrating them with the steel and glass terminals currently being used was announced when the new terminals were inaugurated in 2013. The project is expected to cost over Rs 20 billion along with a walkalator in front of the terminal buildings and some airside works.
