H-Energy Gateway Private Limited has signed an agreement with Engie for chartering its floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) – GDF SUEZ Cape Ann–for its Jaigarh LNG Terminal Project. The storage capacity of the FSRU is 145,000 cubic metres and is equipped with regasification capacity of approximately 4 million tonnes per annum (mtpa). The FSRU is also capable of reloading liquefied natural gas (LNG) onto other LNG vessels. The FSRU has been chartered by H-Energy for a period of five years and will arrive at the LNG jetty at Jaigarh port by the third quarter of 2018. The companies have an option to extend the charter party agreement beyond the initial term on mutual agreement.
H-Energy is setting up an LNG regasification terminal located at JSW Jaigarh port near Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, at a cost of Rs 60 billion. The project will have a capacity of 8 mtpa with a nominal send-out capacity of 29 million metric standard cubic metres per day (mmscmd) and peak send-out capacity of 36 mmscmd.
