New water pipeline inaugurated in Gurgaon

The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has inaugurated a 15 km water supply pipeline under the Gurgaon Water Supply Augmentation Project. The pipeline has been laid from the Basai water treatment plant (WTP) to Sector 23, Gurgaon. The pipeline is capable of supplying about 16 million gallons per day of water to Sectors 21, 22 and 23, Palam Vihar and 65 colonies including Madan Puri, Baldev Nagar, Jyoti Park, New Colony, Firoz Gandhi Colony, etc. in the city. Meanwhile, HUDA is undertaking works to lay another pipeline from the Chandu Budhera WTP to supply water to Sectors 58-115. About 90 per cent of the work has been completed till now.
