DoT imposes limit on the amount subscribers can pay for downloading content

According to DoT, mobile subscribers can pay only up to Rs 20,000 in a single tranche when buying a service or downloading content using their prepaid account balance or through post-paid bills. Further, DoT has said that such purchase of digital content will not be treated as pass-through revenue by operators when computing adjusted gross revenue for licence fee and spectrum usage charge.
