Visakhapatnam gets Rs 250 million grant for water supply

The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) in Andhra Pradesh has sanctioned Rs 250 million for water supply works under its summer action plan. The civic agency will undertake works to ensure that all borewells and water supply pipelines function well during the summer months. In addition, GVMC will set up water supply kiosks at various places by April 16, 2017, which will be available for public use for a period of 90 days. GVMC will also undertake measures to ensure uninterrupted water supply to the city from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day. It has sanctioned the funds for the implementation of these project works.
