Phase II of Gurgaon metro commences operations

Commercial operations have commenced on Phase II of the Gurgaon Metro Rail Project. Works on the project were completed in December 2016 and it was recently granted safety clearance by the Commissioner of Rail Safety. About 7.1 km of metro rail line has been developed under the project. Phase II involved the construction of six elevated metro stations along the Golf Course Road. The stretch spans Sikandarpur Station at Bristol Chowk to Sector 56 in Gurgaon. The works have entailed an investment of Rs 21.43 billion.
