Airtel gets shareholder nod to raise Rs 100 billion via NCDs

Bharti Airtel has received shareholder approval to raise up to Rs 100 billion in debt. The amount will be raised via the issue of unsecured/secured redeemable non-convertible debentures/bonds by way of private placement. The shareholders have also approved the transfer of the company’s investment in its wholly owned subsidiary, Bharti Airtel International (Mauritius) Limited (BAIM), to Network i2i Limited, Mauritius, another wholly owned subsidiary. BAIM is Bharti Airtel’s investment holding firm.
