Rajasthan-based Jaipur Smart Mission Limited (JSML) has prepared a project plan for the provision of 24×7 water supply to the walled city area in Jaipur. The Rs 520 million project is being executed under the centre’s Smart Cities Mission. The scope of works involves the laying of 40 km long metal pipelines and installing water quality monitoring systems at 56 locations across the city. JSML has identified locations spanning 650 acres for the project. These comprise the Ajmeri Gate, Chaura Rasta, Tripoliya Gate, Ganguari Bazaar, Kishanpole Bazaar, Talkatora, Kanwar Nagar, Johari Bazaar and Hawa Mahal areas of the walled city. The project works will be carried out by JSML and the state Public Health Engineering Department.
