TRAI has directed Videocon Telecom to continue its mobile service operations in Punjab and maintain its quality of service till the end of its licence term, rejecting the operator’s decision to shut down services from February 15, 2017. According to TRAI, an operator cannot shut down its operations unless its licence expires or is suspended. Videocon’s licence is valid till September 2017.
