The Karnataka government has approved Phase 2A of the Bengaluru metro rail project. Phase 2A involves the development of a metro rail network from Krishnarajapuram to Silk Board in the city. It will cover a distance of 17 km and entail an investment of Rs 42.02 billion. The corridor will be developed along the city’s outer ring road and will consist of 13 elevated stations. The project is expected to be completed by 2020.
