The National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust has approved the inclusion of the Gurgaon-Manesar-Bawal metro rail in the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project. The metro project involves the development of a 108 km long network in Haryana, at an investment of Rs 274.11 billion. It is an extension of Phase II of the Delhi metro project and will fall under the Manesar-Bawal investment region of the DMIC. The project will now be jointly executed by Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited and the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation and will be funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
