The design and alignment of the Amravati-Anantapur six-lane expressway project in Andhra Pradesh has been finalised. The 393.59 km long expressway will have four-lane and six-lane roads. The length of the four-lane section of the expressway will be 185.4 km and the length of the six-lane section of the expressway will be 208.19 km. The central government has further declared it a national expressway. The project involves the construction of an expressway connecting Amravati and Anantapur, with feeders at Kurnool and Kadappa in Andhra Pradesh, at an estimated cost of Rs 290 billion.
