The CCEA has approved SJVN Limited’s Rs 57.24 billion, 900 MW Arun-III hydro project in Nepal. The project is expected to achieve financial closure by September 2017. SJVN secured the project through international competitive bidding and an MoU was signed with the Nepal government in March 2008 for execution on build-own-operate-transfer basis.
