The West Bengal government has launched the Unnat Jeevan by Affordable LEDs and Alliances for All (UJALA) programme in the state. Under UJALA, Energy Efficient Services Limited will distribute over 54.4 million LED bulbs, 10 million energy efficient tube lights and 5 million energy efficient fans to consumers in the state on upfront payment.
