TRAI releases recommendations on in-building access by telecom service providers

TRAI has released its recommendations on in-building access by telecom service providers (TSPs). The regulator has recommended that TSPs be mandated to share in-building infrastructure such as fibre, cables, ducts, etc. in large public places, and residential and commercial complexes in a transparent, fair and non-discriminatory manner. TRAI has also suggested that suitable provisions for the creation of common telecom infrastructure inside buildings should form part of the model building by-laws.
