Railway ministry sanctions survey work for the 138 km Sagar port and Dankuni line

The Ministry of Railways (MoR) has sanctioned preliminary survey work for the 138 km new rail line between Sagar port and Dankuni, on February 3, 2017. The line will be developed from Sagar port to Dankuni via Kashinagar, Kulpi, Bakrahat, Majherhat, Shalimar and Santragachi. The preliminary survey will be conducted by Eastern Railway, and once the report has been submitted to and approved by the Railway Board, a detailed survey of the project will be conducted.
