KICT commences direct common carrier feeder service

The Kandla International Container Terminal (KICT) has commenced the first direct common carrier feeder service between India and Saudi Arabia. The first vessel, M.V. Oshairij, called at Kandla on February 4, 2017. The Qatar Shipping Company, a maritime and logistics conglomerate, had signed an agreement with KICT to start feeder services between India and Saudi Arabia in January 2017. The weekly service will connect Kandla port directly with Jebel Ali in Dubai, and Dammam and Jubail in Saudi Arabia.
