Idea Cellular has launched its 4G services in the Lucknow and Kanpur regions of the Uttar Pradesh (East) circle. Idea plans to launch the services in Varanasi and Allahabad and cover 23 towns of Uttar Pradesh (East) by March 2017. Earlier, Idea had revealed its plan to expand the coverage of its 3G/4G services. Under the expansion plan, the operator is likely to launch 4G services in nine new telecom circles and 3G services in Bihar and Rajasthan by March 2017. Meanwhile, Idea plans to launch its voice over long term evolution services in all 4G circles in 2017.
