EPL submits proposal to GMB for a greenfield port

Essar Ports Limited (EPL) has submitted a proposal to the Gujarat Maritime Board for setting up a greenfield commercial port in the state. As per  the proposal, EPL is planning to invest Rs 106 billion for developing a multipurpose port in the state’s Dwarka district. The port will have a draught of about 18 metres and a cargo handling capacity of 100 mtpa. The port will have facilities to handle bulk, general cargo, and liquid cargo including petroleum, oil and lubricants, chemicals, and liquefied petroleum gas.
