BMRCL gets Rs 36 billion funding for Phase II of metro project

The European Investment Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank have sanctioned Rs 36 billion for Phase II of the Bengaluru metro project. The estimated total cost of the 72.1 km project is Rs 264.05 billion. Apart from this, French agency AFB has sanctioned Euro 250 million for the project. Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited has already used about Euro 40 million of the sanctioned amount.
