The Maharashtra government has inaugurated the 130 mld Bhandewadi sewage treatment plant (STP). Once the plant commences operations, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation will supply treated sewage from the STP to the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company. The genco is expected to use this treated sewage for power generation at the Koradi TPP. The STP has been developed at a total cost of Rs 1.3 billion.
