Redevelopment of railway stations in Uttar Pradesh and Kerala

The Ministry of Railways (MoR) has planned the redevelopment of six railway stations at Ghaziabad, Lucknow Junction, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Moradabad and Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, the Kerala government has nominated five partners for the redevelopment of 21 railway stations in the state. The partners are Cochin International Airport Limited, Kochi Metro Rail Limited, Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation, Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society and Technopark.  The state government has also nominated the transport secretary as the coordinating officer for the initiative, and he will be responsible for liaising between the MoR, the state government and the nominated partners for the project.
