ONGC Videsh Limited, the overseas arm of state-owned ONGC, has won rights to bid for oil and gas development projects in Iran. OVL is among the 29 international oil companies that Iran has prequalified to bid in the upcoming tender for oil and gas projects, according to the list drawn up by the National Iranian Oil Company. Others firms on the list include Royal Dutch Shell Plc, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), Total SA (France), Gazprom (Russia) and Eni (Italy).
