CCEA approves doubling of Rajpura-Bathinda railway line

The CCEA has given its approval for the doubling of the Rajpura-Bathinda railway line at an estimated cost of Rs 12.51 billion. The 172.64 km railway line is expected to be completed in five years and aims to ease traffic bottlenecks and bring more revenue to Indian Railways through augmented capacity. The districts of Patiala, Sangrur, Barnala and Bathinda will also benefit from this project.
