Broadcasting Engineering Consultants India Limited wins contract for providing biometric access control system at airports

AAI has awarded a Rs 1.1 billion contract to Broadcasting Engineering Consultants India Limited for providing biometric access control systems (BACSs) at 48 airports including those operated by JV companies. Meanwhile, all JV airports are in the final phase of awarding contracts for BACSs. Meanwhile, the MoCA has extended the validity of regular aerodrome entry passes expiring on December 31, 2016 to March 31, 2017, as it undertakes the process of rolling out BACSs.
