Andhra Pradesh government approves Vijayawada-Amaravati high-speed circular railway line

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved the proposal for the construction of the 105 km Vijayawada-Amaravati high-speed circular rail corridor project at an estimated cost of Rs 100 billion. The high-speed corridor will be developed as a circular railway line originating at Vijayawada, passing through Velagapudi, Thullur, Guntur, Tenali, KC Canal, Amaravati, and finally terminating back at Vijayawada. The state government has asked officials to expedite the process of obtaining permissions and assistance from the central government for project construction.
