The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has issued implementation guidelines for the setting up of interstate transmission system-connected wind power projects of 1,000 MW. The selection of projects under the scheme will be made through an e-bidding process for the procurement of wind power at tariffs discovered through open competitive bidding followed by reverse e-auctions. The Solar Energy Corporation of India will be the nodal agency for the implementation of the scheme and will be responsible for developing guidelines for the e-bidding process and will conduct the reverse e-auctions.
