NHPC Limited has commissioned the fourth 40 MW unit of the 160 MW Teesta Low Dam hydroelectric project (HEP), Stage IV, at Darjeeling in West Bengal. With this, the HEP stands fully commissioned. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited was the principal contractor for the plant.
