Delhi HC allows RBI to intervene in Tata Sons and NTT DOCOMO case

The Delhi High Court has allowed the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to file an intervention application in the enforcement proceedings initiated by NTT DOCOMO against Tata Sons to realise a $1.17 billion international arbitration award in favour of NTT DOCOMO. RBI had expressed a desire to intervene in the ongoing enforcement proceedings and requested the high court to allow it to state its position regarding the legality of the arbitration award. The case has been listed for further consideration on December 1, 2016.
