MoR launches various services

The Ministry of Railways (MoR) has decided to launch various initiatives in the passenger and freight segments. These include a rationalised siding policy in the freight segment to set up additional private terminals, the expansion of the commodity basket for container traffic, ensuring single-person accountability on trains and a single nodal officer, travel insurance for passengers and enhancing capacity of retirement rooms using information technology for passenger convenience, by enabling hourly booking.
