Gosala-Adavivaram stretch of Visakhapatnam BRT to be completed by March 2017

Construction work on the Gosala-Adavivaram stretch of the Visakhapatnam Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project, Phase I, is likely to be completed by March 2017. The project involves the development of a 43.36 km long BRT system in Visakhapatnam, at an investment of Rs 4.52 billion. The project consists of two corridors – the 20.5 km Pendurthi Transit Corridor and the 22.6 km Simhachalam Transit Corridor. The BRT is being implemented by an SPV, Visakhapatnam Urban Transport Company Limited, incorporated by the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation and the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority.
