The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has received an installment of Rs 2.1 billion from the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) for its Hindon elevated road project. In January 2016, the NCRPB had announced that it would provide a loan of Rs 7 billion for the development of the six-lane elevated road project in Ghaziabad. However, the GDA was only able to get Rs 4 billion sanctioned by the NCRPB. Of this, it has received the first installment of Rs 2.1 billion. The remaining amount will come from the GDA’s infrastructure development funds. The project cost has been pegged at Rs 12.47 billion and is slated to be completed by April 2017.
