Air services agreement signed with Fiji and Greece

The Union cabinet has cleared the signing of a new air services agreement between India and Fiji, while the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has signed an open skies agreement with Greece. Under the former, Fiji’s carriers are allowed direct flights to Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai, while flying to Bengaluru, Kolkata and Hyderabad will require a code-share with Indian carriers. Meanwhile, the agreement with Greece will permit Indian carriers any number of flights to any destination in Greece. However, in return, carriers from Greece will only be allowed to connect to six key Indian cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Chennai.
