The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) in Maharashtra has started work on a 6.5 km water pipeline connecting the Parvati water treatment plant (WTP) to the cantonment waterworks. The project, estimated to entail a cost of Rs 1.1 billion, is an extension of the closed water pipeline between Khadakwasla dam and the Parvati WTP, which has helped save one thousand million cubic feet (tmcft) of water in June and July 2016.
