The MoRTH is planning to develop a user satisfaction index to improve the country’s road infrastructure. The index will be based on continuous data collection through a centralised mobile application and will be launched by November 2016. The proposal entails the ranking of national highways based on quality and it is hoped that this will incentivise states to improve the condition of their national highways.
