Japanese government sanctions technical and financial assistance for Mumbai-Ahmedabad HSR

The Japanese government has sanctioned technical and financial assistance for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad HSR project. The Japan International Cooperation Agency has conducted feasibility studies which suggest that 65 per cent of the corridor will be constructed on an embankment. The remaining scope of work will include the construction of viaducts, bridges, and tunnels However, the final decision on the scope of elevated corridor is dependent on land availability and technical feasibility.
