TRAI has issued draft amendments to the Telecom Consumers Protection Regulations under which it has proposed the increase of the validity of mobile recharge vouchers for internet services from the current maximum of 90 days to 365 days. The amendments, if approved, will enhance usage by marginal customers, first-time users and price-sens-itive consumers. Further, the move will provide more flexibility to service providers offering innovative data products.
