CESC Limited has signed a power distribution franchisee agreement with Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited to supply power in Kota and Bharatpur in Rajasthan for a period of 20 years. CESC will invest Rs 1.5 billion during the first year of operations and is likely to earn revenues of Rs 7.5 billion over the 20-year period. The company has floated two SPVs for the licence and will be purchasing the power at Rs 4.26 per unit.
