The MoR has selected the consortium of Bansal Construction Works Private Limited and Prakash Asphalting and Toll Highways (India) Limited for the redevelopment of Habibganj railway station. A letter of acceptance has been issued to the consortium for the same. While work on the project will start soon, the consortium has been directed to deposit Rs 300 million with the MoR. Further, the consortium is seeking 38 acres of land on a 45-year lease. The project, to be developed on a design-build-finance-operate-transfer basis under the public-private partnership mode, has already received environmental clearance as on October 30, 2015.
