The Bangalore Political Action Committee has launched a mobile application called Spotter for registering all civic complaints. This integrated mobile application will register complaints pertaining to all civic services provided by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board and the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company. Complaints lodged on Spotter will automatically reach the concerned department and engineer. The GIS-based application is currently available for Android and can be downloaded from Google Play. It has different categories to lodge complaints such as water supply, health, garbage, construction, drainage and electricity, among others. Citizens can upload their civic problems along with pictures which will reach the designated officer in any of the three government agencies.
