AAI rejects Changi Airport’s second proposal for Ahmedabad and Jaipur airports

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has once again rejected Singapore-based Changi Airport’s proposal for the operation and maintenance of Ahmedabad and Jaipur airports. As per the revised proposal, Changi Airport had sought a higher quantum of revenue for managing the two airports which was found to be unfeasible and commercially unviable by AAI. AAI has now decided to reinitiate the international bidding process for choosing entities to operate and maintain the two airports and Changi Airport too can participate in this. Currently, AAI is in the process of appointing a consultant for preparing the request for proposal documents which are likely to be issued by August 2016.
