Six decentralised sewage treatment plants to come up in Indore

The Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) in Madhya Pradesh is planning to set up six decentralised sewage treatment plants (STPs) in the city to ensure proper supply of treated wastewater for non-potable uses. These new STPs will be set up at Palda, Nahar Bhandara, Indore Development Authority Colony Scheme 103, Rajendra Nagar overbridge, Bijapur lake and Upma Khedi lake. Each plant will have a treatment capacity of 30-40 mld. At present, IMC has a total sewage treatment capacity of 245 mld.
