IAF to provide 15 acres of land for Pune airport expansion

Work on the Pune Airport Expansion Project, Phase I, is expected to commence soon, with the main issue of acquiring 15.84 acres of land owned by the Indian Air Force (IAF) being resolved by the Ministry of Defence. The IAF will provide the land on a 30-year lease to AAI. Meanwhile, another 30 acre plot belonging to the Indian Oil Corporation is being sought for Phase II of the project. AAI has been asked to commence work on the acquired plot even as formalities on the lease agreement are being completed.
