The GMR Infrastructure Limited-led consortium recently won two contracts worth Rs 22.81 billion. The contracts, awarded on June 7, 2016, are for the design and construction of civil works, structures and track works for the 175 km Sahnewal-Pilkhani section and the 46 km Dadri-Khurja section of the eastern dedicated freight corridor (DFC). In addition, the consortium of L&T Construction and Instalaciones Inabensa SA (Spain) won the design-and-build contract worth Rs 8.47 billion for electrification works on the 417 km Mughalsarai-New Bhaupur section of the eastern DFC.
