CEA notifies methodology for operationalising flexibility in the use of domestic coal

The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has notified the methodology for operationalising the policy for providing flexibility in the utilisation of domestic coal, which was approved by the cabinet in May 2016. The CEA has outlined the detailed procedure for the use of coal aggregated by a state at its generating stations, generating stations of another state’s utilities and central generating stations, as well as for the use of coal assigned to the central sector generating company at its plants or other more efficient plants.
