Bharti Airtel and Videocon Telecommunications Limited (VTL) have concluded a spectrum trading deal after securing all necessary approvals and satisfying the requisite conditions, including those stated in the spectrum trading guidelines. The two companies had entered into a definitive agreement in March 2016, where under Bharti Airtel had proposed the acquisition of rights to use 2×5 MHz spectrum in the 1800 MHz band allotted to VTL in six circles, for an aggregate consideration of Rs 44.28 billion. These circles are Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh (East) and Uttar Pradesh (West).
