Delhi Transco Limited (DTL) has sought a loan of Rs 8 billion from the Power Finance Corporation for completing three projects – laying cables in the Rajghat, Dwarka and Tughlakabad areas of Delhi. Reportedly, DTL is facing a shortage of funds owing to the non-payment of dues by Reliance Infrastructure Limited’s power distribution companies in Delhi – BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) and BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL). The discoms owe to the tune of Rs 19.58 billion (BRPL Rs 11.71 billion and BYPL Rs 7.87 billion) to the transco.
